Chalazion - Lump In Eyelid

A Chalazion is a lump in the eyelid that is caused by inflammation of a gland within the skin. This lump grows over days to weeks and is red, warm, or painful.

Symptoms

Steps
1   Use a warm, wet compresses to the eyes for approximately 15 minutes 2-4 times a day to reduce swelling
2   Gently massage the area several times a day
3   Apply antibiotic drops for the eye
4   If symptoms worsen or the swelling does not reduce in 2-3 days, seek medical attention.
Warnings
DO NOT rub, squeeze , or pop the chalazion
Tips
Make sure to wash your hands frequently
Surgery may be needed if the symptoms do not improve
