injury to the collarbone can cause you to break your bone. Bones will heal over time but it is essential to keep it immobile to prevent any further injury. It is essential to seek emergency medical help to increase healing time and assess any other injuries.

Symptoms

Steps
1   Take person to a safe location away from any further harm
2   Check and make sure the person has good Airway, Breathing, and Circulation
3   Control any bleeding by applying gentle pressure with a large sterile, or clean cloth
4   Cover the entire wound including and any protruding bone with a bandage
5   Wrap an elastic bandage or cloth starting at the side of the neck diagonally across the back, over the shoulder, and under the arm again and diagonally across the back, over the shoulder and under the arm again.
6   Repeat this a few times
7   You should be able to snugly slide one finger under the ties in the front
8   Apply ice in a bag or icepack to the injured area for 15 minutes on and then 15 minutes off
9   Take the person to the hospital or call 911.
Warnings
DO NOT move the person if they show signs of injures to the head, back or neck
DO NOT put ice directly on the skin
DO NOT try to push back any part of the bone that is sticking out
DO NOT try to straighten a broken bone
Tips
If the person has trouble breathing, pain while breathing, or a wound to the chest call 911 IMMEDIATELY
