Mouth Sore

A mouth sore can be due to any number of things such as breaks in the bone especially after a fall, abscesses from fights, bites from insects or snakes, masses in the mouth, and tooth root abscesses. It is therefore important that you see a veterinarian to diagnose the cause and direct appropriate treatment.

Symptoms

Steps
1   Dab some Anbesol with a cotton swab on the sores in the mouth if you can do so without being bitten
2   Provide room temperature water for your pet to drink.
3   Mix commercial canned food in a blender with some water to give your dog a liquid diet that is easy to eat
4   Take your dog as soon as possible to have him checked out
Warnings
DO NOT give any aspirin to your pet unless your vet reccommends it
Tips
Dogs will find chewing difficult with a mouth sore so make sure they eat a liquid diet
